An Opportunity To Do Some Good

I very rarely recieve mass emails with anything other than disdain and hatred. In fact, many of them have me sharpening a knife and happily and evilly cackling as I consider which parts will be the least that the sender wants cut off.

But enough of my bile and anger.

A good friend of mine (who used to kick and punch me in the face and other areas) recently sent me this link

Being that I do attempt to be a responsible blogger, I feel on the basis that I have been given this information, then it is my obligation to share it. Regardless of your religious position, or perhaps lack of it, I do believe that those that have ought to pitch in to give to those that haven't. Or to put it another way, we are here, this is now, and we ought do what we can do.

What I am hoping for is that all of us can pitch in to one person or group and raise the money to help them out. I am prepared to pick someone if there is the chance that this proves popular. I am also going to make a request which is simply this.

If you read this and you are a member of Orble, please tell people to read this and message me, or leave a comment here. That way, we can pick someone, do something good and earn some brownie points for karmic reasons to be burned when someone irritates us or when we're bored.

Thanks and I hope to hear from you guys soon.

I wish you well in your endeavours, but I'm not sure what I could do in this way, I already do what I can elsewhere and do not have the capacity to do more.

But at least I can vote and leave my comments here. Good luck.

Hi JoshZ,

no matter how poor we think we are, there is always a dollar for chairty, isn't there? When I have time to look into this and see what it is all about (ie how to send my donation off), I like the weaving women cause, and a chance for independence sounds good, doesn't it?

... emailing this post to friends,

cheers

Lilla ....

Hi Katy,

we do what we can, where we can, how we can.

Thanks for your words and thoughts.

Hey Lil,

I'll look at the weaving one.

Ideally, what I would love to be able to do is pick one that has no donations and just blitz it the whole way to being done. I think it would be a great shock for someone that oneday they put in their request and then from nowhere BAM it's done.

Thanks for the directing of the traffic Lilla.
