Gary Gygax, RIP.

Leonardo Da Vinci's contribution's to his own society made him famous and a byword for inventive genius throughout the ages. Gary Gygax's contributions, have been more known to the paler, more introverted and indoor loving demographic. Of which I am one.
Dungeons and Dragons was to me probably the greatest facilitator to my wanting to become an author of some description. It wasn't simply reading about some guy walking through a dungeon looking for goblins to kill and loot to gather. I was that guy. I chose which path to take, which sword to use, which spells to cast.
I am, of course, not alone in this.
Just as Mr Da Vinci spawned other creators and inventors, so did Gary Gygax. Computing gaming nerds such as myself have alot that we owe to this man. It is stupid to say that without him, we wouldn't have computer games. It is completely true to say however, that we wouldn't have as many good ones. We would also have great holes in literature, art and anything else that is inspired by the brain growth that is fostered by creative, imaginative gaming.
Terry Pratchett once said that no man is completely dead while the echoes of his life continue. In this way, Gary Gygax lives on. Where two or three nerds are gathered to kill a dragon, there he is among them.

I do not understand alot of the stuff you wrote here but the last line was funny. So terrible and funny.
