A Simple Christian - by Rev. Dustin Parker

asimplechristian Being a Christian is simple - it starts as we realize what God has done for us, in cleansing us from sin, and giving us life. The rest is a relationship - walking together with God and all His people. Come join us at Concordia Lutheran Church in Cerritos - were we share in God's love and gifts together!

George Bush, Going to War on a New Enemy

This has just been released from the states.

It is a video clip of a press conference that George W Bush heeld in order to justify the $50bn dollars he was asking for from congress.

Look at it here

People, I think that this time, myself and the President agree.

Viewing the George Bush zombies clip hasn't provoked me to comment, but your previous article taken in conjunction has - Blessed are the peacemakers.

An Aussie, I sometimes get bemused at the strong US Christian community association with a president who wages a war in Iraq that he originally described as a crusade. Doesn't sound consistent with Blessed are the peacemakers.

Maybe we can see a reason here for this and many other inconsistencies in the use/misuse of Christianity. Retired from a marketing, shipping and logistics career, I've observed a lot of Christendom's preoccupation is in selling like "come to Jesus", marketing like "here are the beatitudes to consider", but no delivery - like here's how to have the beatitudes apply in your life…

Another: "Good should be done for the sake of doing good. I do believe that God desires this of us." But how? How's the delivery received? If we could get the receiving right, Christianity would be more successful than Fed Express, UPS and DHL combined. And a whole lot more!

Seems to me the delivery is a deliberate secret. About teaching in parables, Jesus met the disciples' criticism by explaining that the teaching is only for those who have an "ear" to hear. Surely this means those moved by the Spirit. After His resurrection comes the proof of this. The Spirit was given. Now we have the availability of One-to-one, Spirit-to-spirit teaching without the need of a go-between, for all who receive a resurrected spirit, and continue to call into Him for truth to nourish and grow their regenerated spirit.

I love your name - Asimplechristian. Are you attracted by the simplicity of the message that I've just typed?

Big Cat,

You managed to ask one of the most important questions around.

Oh, and I call myself asimplechristian because I like to think it is accurate.

And yes, good comment!
