Now, to be honest, it doesn't raise any new interesting points that we don't know about, but it does help to clear the air a little.
My own opinion is that like movies, videogames will at some point embrace sex not as a cheap thrill but as a valuable part of a story in building intimacy between characters. Unfortunately, we're not there yet. Sex does tend to get used rather too cheaply and intimacy only very rarely. I think that as more and more writers get involved in the videogame industry (excluding Clive Barker who should be killed for Jericho) we'll see greater advances in the areas of storytelling and in creating an atmosphere where intimacy is possible between two virtual characters as easily as it is seen between two characters on paper.
