Valentines Reflection

I suppose I have Beyonce Knowles to thank for alot of the thinking in this post. It is her new song "irreplacable" that has provided much of the inspiration for it, though I doubt in a way that she wants. The song is all about a woman sending a guy packing because he cheated on her. All well and good so far. But the chorus where she is saying "I can get another you in a minute, in fact, he'll be here any minute" tells me quite alot about the philosophy of this song, and why it is stupid.
For me, this is the first Valentine's Day I have had when I have not been single. Today is the first time I have recieved or given anything on Valentines. It is kind of sad to break such a long record (24 years) but the time had come. And I suppose the big question is Why? Why did I wait so long? Why did I not have a woman before now to celebrate this day with? And the answer is simple. It is quite easily found where myself and Miss Knowles change in our opinions.
The aforementioned song contains the thought that she has opened herself to someone that doesn't deserve it and been hurt. This happens alot and I will no be beating up on her for that. However, her reaction to it is quite brilliant. She is going to go out and do it again. She has sent one man packing and the next man will be at her door at any minute. More than likely, she will be singing this song again rather soon. For the reason that she compromised, that she accepted something other than the absolute best. My theory is that this is a terrible approach. Surely the idea IS to find the right one, not simply the one that is there right now. This does have a down side, that being you have to wait, you doubt, and you feel pain and lonliness when everyone else is hooking up. But it's worth it, and then some.
I have known many women. All were beautiful, some were attractive. Only one of them however is my Nata. And she is indeed irreplaceable.

yeah, it did have periods where it sucked to be single.
But like I said, it was worth it. And then some. And yes, Nata is Natalie.

that indeed may have some benefit. I wouldn't really know due to the lack of dating experience I have.
But it can also breed issues like "This ex did this, that ex did that.....I still have feelings for them....." etc etc.
I guess the big thing for me with the song was that she didn't think of the guys being that amazing but she chose to be intimate with them.
