It's an interesting date according to the Roman Martyrology - The Vigil of the Assumption.
I don't know of any specific blessings for an engagement. The closest is the Nuptial Blessing, which is essentially Psalm 127:

On a more serious note, I am sorry that it has taken me so long to get a note on here to say thanks for dropping by and making me really popular. It felt nice. Different, but nice (note to everyone, pictures of cute russian girls get you LOTS of votes). At the moment, me and Nata are arranging all that we can arrange. The Wedding, the Visa etc etc..... and it is draining my time with an amazing amount of skill and energy. It's more than worth it though. I don't know when I will be able to get back to regular posting, but I hope to soon.
